お歳暮
The oseibo is a traditional annual yearend gift.
We send it to people who have helped us, for example, our relatives, our bosses or clients and customers.
Popular oseibo gifts are ham, salad oil, beer or juice but most people would prefer money.
The average budget is 3(three) to 5(five) thousand yen.
And most people want to stop sending oseibo but they continue to send the gifts out of a sense of duty.
